Tree Girl

Here are some pics from a Mother's Day picnic at the park yesterday. Our dear friend / neighbor invited us. We had a great time - and I got to take a bunch of pictures of their family for them - which was fun practice for my dream job.

This girl lives life to the fullest - she is brave - strong - and just soooo full of life!

Pre-school Program

Emily had a year end program on Thursday night. We had 3 grandparents and an Aunt Jill & Uncle George in tow. Emily has not been a real stage girl in the past - so we wondered how it would go. . . She started out so cute - she kept pulling her dress out like in the second picture. . . and she fully participated in singing and motions . . .

UNTIL the song before her starring role. She started to look afraid. . . she then did the role of the spider in the "Eensie Weensie Spider" with seriousness and concentration - then she was toast.

She was done participating in the rest of the program and sat looking like this:

The sweet girl - after the program we all went on and on "You did SO!"  etc etc.  Then on the drive home I said, "Emily - you did so great - but I noticed that after your part you seemed to stop singing and doing the motions.  Why?"
She said, "I just saw all the people and got scared."
A girl after my own heart. . .

Free Water Table

I got this water table out of someone's trash - (I know) - and the girls had SO MUCH FUN with it last week! I am excited to have it for the summer. Here are some pix. . .

Emily loved rolly polly bugs - and even let them climb her arm. . .

Still Alive

We are having computer issues with our laptop - waiting for a new power cord to come in the mail! That is why I have been missing.

Things are going well.

I had a doctors appt. this week - today I am 29 weeks. I passed the glucose test - yay! Everything looks great. I am scheduled for an Aug. 4 C-section.

Emily had her big year end pre-school program this past week - that will be a post in and of itself.

Today we are going to a Mother's day picnic, hosted by my dear friend/ neighbor, Ketina.

I went garage sale-ing this morning and a little yesterday - I LOVE doing that!!!

That's it for now. Don't forget about us! :)

the Music Truck

Until last summer, Emily thought the ice cream truck was the "music truck." Last summer she found out that it sold ice cream.
And, like most children, she LOVES the ice cream truck. I told her over a week ago that the next time we heard the ice cream truck, we would get ice cream. Tonight was the night - so here are some shots.
Yes, that is my white trash girl in her diaper. . . making a crucial ice cream decision.
